Has this ever happened to you? You’re the mail server administrator for a small business. You’re vacationing in Hawaii, and, inevitably, you get an urgent call from the boss asking you to set up an account or alias for a new user who needs email access ASAP. If you use MDaemon to host your email, and you’ve got access to a computer and an internet connection, you can create new accounts and aliases in a matter of minutes, and then be back on the beach sipping margaritas in no time at all. The following tutorial video will take you through this very easy process.
Recently, we released MDaemon 14.5. This release includes several new features and enhancements, including support for DMARC (Domain-Based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance), an updated mailing list engine, and a re-designed Remote Administration interface. We are currently working on a DMARC webinar, to be held soon, and we will host the second of two webinars on MDaemon 14.5 new features next Tuesday. Visit our Webinars page to sign up.
The main purpose of this post, however, is to call attention to the updated MDaemon Remote Administration application. Remote Admin has been re-designed & re-worked to give it greater parity with MDaemon.
I’ve put together a short YouTube video to highlight some of the main differences between Remote Admin for MDaemon 14.5 & Remote Admin for MDaemon 14. You can view it here:
