Outlook users who wish to share their calendars, contacts, tasks & notes can use Outlook Connector to share their data. Outlook Connector opens up MDaemon’s groupware sharing & collaboration capabilities for Outlook users, and allows them to share content with other Outlook Connector users, or with WorldClient (webmail) users. There are two components to Outlook Connector – the server-side component, which is installed on the MDaemon server, and the client-side plug-in. Instructions for setting up Outlook Connector can be found in the Outlook Connector for MDaemon Installation and Optimal Performance Guide. This guide explains how to install and initially set up Outlook Connector, but does not go into detail on how to use it once it’s installed. For instructions on how to use the Outlook Connector client, we’ve created a new how-to guide: Using the Outlook Connector Client. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for sharing folders, accessing the global address book, configuring send/receive preferences, database management, and other features. This document and other how-to guides can be found on our Literature page at www.altn.com.
If you do not yet have Outlook Connector, you can visit our Downloads page and download your free trial.
